The honest comparison

No need to compare tools. Edwin isn't one of them.

How many tools does your company use just to run itself? One for emails, one for WhatsApp and your messages, one for calls, one for your schedule, one for anything that keeps the business moving. Edwin is all of that, and much more, because Edwin is not a tool. Edwin is your company's life butler.

Still want to compare?

Here are the market's main features, side by side.

Beyond the checklist

Edwin isn't a feature list. He's a conversation.

The table above is the feature checklist: useful, and honest about what is available. But it's not really the point. Edwin isn't software you configure once and then work around: he's a virtual assistant you talk to, and whatever you ask becomes his job. For a company, an independent, an artisan, a corporate team or an event business, that's a different way of working entirely.

Want a secretary?Ask Edwin to answer the phone, manage your diary and greet every client the same way, every time.
Want a back-office?Ask Edwin to check who's paid, chase who hasn't, and keep the paperwork moving without you touching it.
Want a sales agent?Ask Edwin to follow up every quote, keep a prospect warm, and turn a maybe into a yes.

Not a feature list. A conversation

Y
Edwin, send an email to Établissements Morel confirming Friday's delivery.
E
Done: sent to Établissements Morel, delivery confirmed for Friday, 14:00.
Y
Edwin, call Mr Dupont back to confirm tomorrow's appointment.
E
On it. Mr Dupont confirmed 10:00 tomorrow, added to your calendar.
Y
Edwin, has Mr Dupont paid his invoice?
E
Not yet. Invoice #482 is still open. Want me to send a reminder?

One assistant, instead of five different apps and five different logins for every job above.

The price of doing it the piecemeal way

Three tools to add up, or one butler

If you bundle three tools from different platforms, it works out at roughly what the chart and the table below show. With Edwin, it is a single tool: £89 excl. VAT a month on Solo, for example.

Same jobs: three separate tools or one Edwin

Monthly cost in £ excl. VAT. For each plan, we add up three separate tools from the matching category: AI phone answering, quote & invoicing apps, appointment and job management. The table just below gives the detail.

Method: for each category, the median of the public prices advertised by several vendors, for the cheapest plan that covers the stated volume. Prices collected in September and October 2026, excluding tax where the vendor states it, converted at a rate of €1 to $1.10 and then expressed in this site's currency. Amounts are rounded. These tools also do what Edwin doesn't (issue invoices, schedule several teams); Edwin does what none of them does on its own (read your emails, answer on WhatsApp, keep everything in one memory). Fair play

Where Edwin wins, and where others do

Where Edwin is different

  • He listens to the real conversation, instead of asking you to dictate afterwards.
  • One memory across mailbox, calendar and quotes, so a client is one story.
  • Mixed providers: up to 10 mailboxes and calendars (depending on the plan) from different companies, merged.
  • No fixed job description: secretary, back-office or sales follow-up: you decide what he handles, and your yes is required for every send and booking.

Where the others are better

  • Quote and invoicing apps have deep price libraries, e-signature and invoices. Edwin never issues invoices, and his PDF export is still coming.
  • Job management tools have team schedules, field tracking and built-in billing. Edwin doesn't have all of that.
  • A human brings judgment, empathy and a pair of hands on site. Edwin is there to give you time back, not to replace people.
